Platform Usage Rules
1. General Provisions
These Rules define the procedure for using the PyLand educational platform and regulate relationships between users and administration.
By registering on the platform, you automatically accept these Rules and undertake to comply with them.
Important! Failure to comply with the rules may result in restriction or blocking of access to the platform without refund.
2. User Account
Registration:
- Provide only accurate information
- Use a valid email for registration
- Create a strong password (minimum 8 characters)
- One user - one account
Email Confirmation: After registration, you will receive an email with a link to confirm your email address. To use all platform features, you need to confirm your email.
Account security:
- Do not share your login and password with third parties
- Report suspicious activity immediately
- Update your password regularly
- Log out of your account on public devices
Responsibility:
You are fully responsible for all actions performed under your account.
Newsletters and Notifications:
Upon registration, you are automatically subscribed to the following types of notifications:
- Course updates and new materials
- Assignment and deadline reminders
- Achievement and progress notifications
- Platform news and updates
- Weekly activity summary
Subscription Management: You can disable or configure any newsletters in your dashboard settings ('Notifications' section). Some notifications (email confirmation, password recovery, payments) are mandatory and cannot be disabled.
3. Platform Code of Conduct
Required:
- Treat other users, mentors, and administration with respect
- Use the platform exclusively for educational purposes
- Follow the instructions of mentors and reviewers
- Adhere to assignment deadlines (if applicable)
- Report technical issues to support
Communication:
- Be polite in comments and chats
- Do not use profanity
- Do not post spam or advertisements
- Do not publish other people's personal data
4. User Content
What can be posted:
- Problem solutions and homework
- Questions about course materials
- Constructive comments and discussions
- Own projects for portfolio (with administration approval)
Content rights:
- You retain copyright to your code and projects
- By posting content, you grant PyLand a license to use it for educational purposes
- Administration may use your works as examples (with your consent)
Prohibited to post:
- Ready-made solutions for sale to other students
- Malicious code, viruses, hacking scripts
- Content that violates copyright
- PyLand course materials publicly
5. Prohibited Actions
Strictly prohibited:
Technical violations:
- Hacking, unauthorized access attempts to the system
- DDoS attacks and other types of sabotage
- Using bots, parsers, automated scripts for data collection
- Bypassing security systems and platform restrictions
- Exploiting vulnerabilities to gain advantages
Copyright infringement:
- Copying and distributing course materials
- Recording and publishing video lessons without permission
- Sharing account access with third parties
- Selling or renting the account
Fraud:
- Attempts to refund after completing the course
- Using someone else's payment information
- Creating fake accounts to get discounts
- Cheating and passing off others' work as your own
Unethical behavior:
- Insults, threats, bullying of other users
- Discrimination on any grounds
- Spreading false information about the platform
- Publishing content of sexual, violent or illegal nature
6. Violations and Sanctions
For first violation:
- Warning from administration
- Removal of violating content
- Temporary restriction of functions (comments, task submissions)
For repeated violations:
- Temporary account suspension (3 to 30 days)
- Restriction of access to certain courses
- Suspension of mentorship support
For serious violations:
- Permanent account ban without refund
- Cancellation of issued certificates
- Reporting to law enforcement (for illegal actions)
Note: Administration reserves the right to make decisions on sanctions on an individual basis depending on the severity of the violation.
Appeal:
If you believe your account was blocked by mistake, send an appeal to email: pylandschool@gmail.com with a detailed description of the situation.
